Five Reasons To Burn Pure Beeswax

Five Reasons To Burn Pure Beeswax

1/ Natural Wax: The London Beeswax Candle Company products are all made from 100% pure beeswax of the highest quality sourced from the 'Local Honey-Man' in Walthamstow. Beeswax is a natural renewable resource which is chemical free, does not emit a strong scent or a synthetic fragrance and does not release excessive toxins into the air.  Conversely, paraffin candles are made from petroleum and although cheap to produce they have some very negative effects on the air quality in the home environment which potentially impacts the health of those exposed to this candle.

2/ Naturally Scented: Beeswax Candles also have a gorgeous natural subtle honey scent whereas standard scented candles omit both Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) and fine particulate matter in higher proportions which can increase the risk of asthma and other health problems. When combined with a chlorine free and lead free 100% pure cotton wick, Beeswax gives the cleanest most natural burn and smell possible.

3/ Warm Glow: There is something special with the way a Beeswax Candle lightens up a room. You will instantly notice a difference even from the beautiful, warm glow of my tealights. This is because beeswax emits a bright yet relaxing light within the same spectrum as the sun. This helps create the perfect ambience for dining or for any night to make the moment feel significantly more special and relaxed.

4/ Melting Point: A Beeswax Candle is a cleaner burning wax that has a much higher melting temperature than paraffin candles, produces less soot into the air and will overall last longer on burn time.  Although pure soy wax candles are a very good alternative to paraffin candles from both a health and environmental perspective, they have a very low melting point.  This makes pure soy wax well suited to container candles but results in dripping issues for taper and pillar candles.  The higher melting temperature of Beeswax makes this wax perfect for taper, pillar and container candles whilst also offering a longer burning time.

5/ Sustainability and Environmental benefits: Beeswax is the least processed natural candle wax that is also 100% biodegradable. Nothing more needs to be said about the environmental benefits of burning a natural by-product of the honey industry vs paraffin candles which are produced from petroleum! In short, 100% Beeswax Candles are eco-friendly, with no chemical process involved and are completely biodegradable.
