Candlestick holders are among our favourite genuine antiques - superbly crafted, they create an intimate and memorable setting, and make excellent gifts. Elegant and eye catching, this unique pair of early 1900s candlesticks are just perfect for a dinner table setting or to add that finishing touch to a mantelpiece or shelf arrangement.

A rare and truly beautiful matched pair of early 20th-century candle holders, expertly crafted in brass and copper by the renowned William Soutter & Sons of Birmingham. Dating from around 1900–1920, they feature an elegant neoclassical urn silhouette with refined fluting and delicately engraved bands—an ideal complement to the warm glow of natural beeswax.

The original opening on these candlesticks was extremely wide, making it difficult to securely fit regular dinner candles. I’ve added a beautiful, detachable vintage brass floral candle insert that holds the candles firmly in place. It not only solves the issue but also creates a stunning decorative feature for the candlestick.

Perfect as a statement piece for any setting, these candlesticks make an ideal wedding or Christmas gift—especially when paired with our stunning tall pure London Beeswax taper dinner candles. A stylish touch for any home. The gift set comes with 2 hand-poured tall pure beeswax dinner candles 24cm.

In very good antique condition, the holders show gentle, age-related wear consistent with their history (please study the photos carefully). Each is constructed from five individually threaded sections—a testament to traditional craftsmanship.

Width on the base:  8.9 cm
Height of candlestick: 12.5 cm
Candle width opening with the floral insert is approximately 2 cm
